“Approximately two years ago we began a process of human capital management based on an administration model and integrated management of human capital from the Cia.
Thanks to the investment in development, individual effort and involvement of many actors of our company: the 95 ambassadors, the representatives from all business units and the different geographical areas that our country embodies; the Advisory Board of Directors and the coordination team that led and implemented the Balance in Action Programme with the European Institute of Social Capital of Germany and the Commitment Foundation, we were able to obtain the basic certification in December 2009.
It is a time consuming process that is all about changing your habits, change the firm’s culture and change leadership styles. We believe that there is a different way of doing things, which is a balanced way of doing them and that beyond the pressure and environment that modern life generates, it is important for the health of people as well as the business productivity, to achieve equilibrium.
Each of the initiatives of the Work & Life Balance Programme contribute to consolidate a high performance culture based on corporate values and servant leadership. This program is based on the long term through a commitment of our management, our customers and our human capital.
The role of all who are committed as ambassador is essential, as they are the multipliers of the program, spreading the features and benefits of the initiatives. It is about making the experience of the values that are associated with balancing personal and professional life explicit and it is because of the huge workforce that are representing the ambassadors that we are succeeding.
The main objective of certification is to accompany each member of the organization through the implemented actions, to achieve a balance between work and personal life, to make them feel motivated and to identify and engage with the organization so that together we will be able to obtain a leadership position in telecommunications”.
